The Ford Motor Company is known for lots of things, including its innovative engineering and great approach to style and value. The vehicle designers and engineers have been working hard on improving an already-legendary vehicle, the sporty Ford Mustang. This classic muscle car has been a part of the Ford lineup for generations and each new model boasts a perfect combination of style, power, tradition, and innovation. The new Ford Mustang was given a boost with the addition of a simple piece of duct tape.

Improved Handling With One Small Change

Vehicle dynamics engineer Del Zio wanted to improve the flow of air around the new Mustang in order to heighten its handling around corners in particular. After high-tech computer modeling had done its job, Zio applied some old fashioned know-how and added a single strip of duct tape to the front grille of the car. The modified grille had better handling; the problem had been solved.

Several new features distinguish the forthcoming Mustang, including:

  • Larger front splitter
  • Improved EPA-estimated fuel economy
  • A lower nose
  • Added rocker shield

The result is a lower, more aggressive profile that really hugs curves while delivering enhanced handling ability to the driver at all times.
