Finding a new car, or truck can be hard to navigate. Especially when you’ve zeroed in on two models, but you don’t know which to choose. At Hub City Ford, we can help! Ford remains to be one of the best automotive suppliers for trucks. At our dealership, we aim to find the perfect car for our customers, especially ones that work for their lifestyle. Our F-250 and F-350 models offer the best modern trucks. If you’re stuck figuring out which one is best for you, compare both models with our guide!

Similarities

  • Trim Levels- First off, both the F-250 and F-350 have the same cab, bed size, and trim options. The cab choices are regular, super, or crew. For the bed size, you can either get a short box or a long box (which is 6’9″ or 8′ in length). Trim options include XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
  • Engines- In both the F-250 and the F-350, they come standard with two choices. The first is the 6.2 L Boss SOHC V8 engine. It has a capacity of 385 HP and 430 pound-feet of torque. The other option is the 6.7 Turbo-Diesel Power Stroke V8. This one has a capacity of 450 HP and 935 pound-feet of torque. Both also come with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which supports both rear-wheel and 4-wheel drives. Should you choose the Super Crew and or Super Cab models, they have full-time 4-wheel drive available. What’s great is both the F-250 and the F-350 allow for bi-fuel conversion. This means that not only can they run on gas, but also a secondary fuel. So you can drive on other fuel sources like compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane. Because both trucks are identical when it comes to the engine, neither is better than the other.

Differences

  • Price- One of the biggest differences is between the F-250 and F-350 is the price. Because the F250 is smaller, its starting MSRP price is around $34,700. For the F350, its starting MSRP price is around $36,000. Also, keep in mind that you can choose from 6 different trims, cab, and bed sizes, which can alter the price.
  • Exterior- The visible difference between the F-250 and the F-350 is that the F-350 comes with (the option) of getting dual rear wheels. The majority of trucks come with single rear wheels. Because it is a part of the Super Duty trucks line, it is intended for heavy-duty towing.
  • Towing Capacity- The F-350 has a towing capacity of 32,00 pounds versus the 18,500 pounds for the F-250. The F-350 has a maximum payload of 7,640 pounds while the F250 only has a maximum of 4,270 pounds. This is because it has a 4″ rear block, which is 1.5″ more than the F250. The suspension of the F-350 is also made specifically for towing; it boasts a reinforced midsection and a tighter rear spring than the F250.
